Dubai Customs wins three renowned IdeasUK 2020 awards
دبي في 26 نوفمبر /وام/ أعلنت جمارك دبي عن فوزها بثلاث جوائز عالمية رفيعة المستوى في مؤتمر وجائزة منظمة الأفكار البريطانية الخامس والثلاثين الذي أقيم في مدينة برمنغهام البريطانية مؤخراً. يأتي ذلك في إطار تعزيز الدائرة لصدارتها العالمية في مجال الابتكار الجمركي بتحقيق إنجاز جديد يضاف إلى سجلها الحافل بالحصول على الجوائز المحلية والعالمية في مجال الابداع والابتكار، حيث وشارك في المؤتمر ممثلاً عن الدائرة كمتحدث رئيسي حسين الفردان مدير أول مركز الابتكار وصاحب ابتكار طائرة الردع الذكية، والمهندس عادل السويدي مدير إدارة الدعم الفني الذي قدم عرضاً عن دمج طائرة الردع الذكية بمنظومة سياج لحماية الحدود البحرية، وخالد الزرعوني أخصائي مركز الابتكار. واستطاعت جمارك دبي الوصول إلى قمة مؤشر التصنيف البلاتيني الخاص بمنظمة الأفكار البريطانية بالدرجة الكاملة للعام الثالث عشر على التوالي متفوقة على معظم المؤسسات المحلية والعالمية المشاركة في الجائزة والمؤتمر لعام 2022، كما فازت الدائرة أيضا بجائزتين متقدمتين من جوائز العام الحالي لابتكارها الجديد “طائرة الردع الذكية للتفتيش الجمركي الآمن” وهما جائزة المُقيِمين لأفضل ابتكار وجائزة المركز الثاني لفكرة العام عن فئة الابتكار. كما استطاعت الدائرة أن تحقق المزيد من النجاح بوصول مبادرتها المتميزة “دوري الابتكار الأول” إلى أعلى مستوى في التميز العالمي بمجال مبادرات الابتكار متفوقة في هذا المجال على المؤسسات المشاركة في مؤتمر وجائزة منظمة الأفكار البريطانية الخامس والثلاثون والبالغ عددها 33 مؤسسة عالمية، ويُعد “دوري الابتكار الأول” الذي يعتبر أول مبادرة تدخل موسوعة أفضل الممارسات العالمية في مجال أدوات الابتكار وتوليد الأفكار. وقال سعادة أحمد محبوب مصبح المدير العام لجمارك دبي الرئيس التنفيذي لمؤسسة الموانئ والجمارك والمنطقة الحرة، إن جهود تحفيز الابتكار في الدائرة قد أثمرت عن تحقيق إنجازات متواصلة في الحصول على أهم الجوائز العالمية للأفكار والابتكار، حيث تتابع جهود التطوير وصولاُ إلى تحويل هذه الأفكار إلى تطبيقات وابتكارات فعلية تُسهم في دعم القدرة على تقديم أفضل الخدمات والتسهيلات التجارية والجمركية لتيسير التجارة وحماية المجتمع.
Dubai Customs topped the IdeasUK Platinum Index with full score for the third year in a row surpassing several local and international organizations participating in the conference this year.
Dubai Customs also won the best innovation award for its Smart Customs Deterrence Drone, and the second best idea of the year. The Government Department was able to go far with its First Innovation League, reaching a high level of global distinction, surpassing 33 different organizations, which urged leading British establishments to adopt the initiative.
Taking part in international awards and contests would motivate Dubai Customs employees to be part of the innovation process in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
“Our incessant efforts to enhance creativity has been fruitful and winning these three renowned awards reflected the great performance and hard work we invested to turn innovation into a daily practice in Dubai Customs,” said Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs, CEO of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation. “Every idea is important, and we take the employees’ creative ideas seriously and develop them into successful projects as part of our mission to facilitate trade and secure the borders.”
Hussain Al Fardan, Head of Innovation Center, Board Member Ideas UK, said; “Dubai Customs continues its successes and distinguished achievements owing to hard work, dedication and good governance. The IdeasUK is a non-profit organization and for over 30 years, the organization has been at the forefront of employee innovation and engagement. This is why winning their awards is a great achievement for us.”
Adel Al-Suwaidi, Director, and Technical Support Department, delivered a presentation on integrating the deterrence drone with the Siyaj border control system. He said; “we have integrated our smart deterrence drone with the Siyaj border control system efficiently to enhance the performance of protection and control process as part of our mission to protect the society from the hazards of illegitimate trade.” Khalid Al Zarouni, Innovation Specialist, Dubai Customs Innovation Center, presented the process of evaluating innovations in Dubai Customs.
