UAE Foreign Minister holds meetings in New York
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met separately with a number of foreign ministers of countries participating in the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Sheikh Abdullah met with Catherine Colonna, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France; Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India; and Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, Representative of the United States of America to the United Nations.
The meetings reviewed bilateral relations and strategic partnerships in all sectors, including economic, investment, financial, renewable energy, food security, cultural, educational and tourism, between the UAE and these countries.
The meetings also reviewed a number of issues of common concern, including the energy and food file and the importance of achieving stability in the global market, in addition to ways to enhance global efforts to combat climate change.
The foreign ministers of the UAE, France and India and the permanent representative of the US also discussed several issues on the agenda of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, and exchanged views on regional and international developments.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and the Environment; and Ambassador Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Political Affairs and the UAE Permanent Representative to the UN.
