Inaugural ‘Al Asayl Exhibition’ kicks off at Expo Al Dhaid
The 1st edition of “Al Asayl Exhibition 2022”, the ideal gathering location for horse, camel, and gaming bird owners, breeders, stables, clubs, vets, professional and amateur riders, commenced today at Expo Al Dhaid.
Organised by the Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the show has attracted more than 25 companies and recognised equestrian and falconry brands, in addition to a number of relevant public clubs and associations.
The three-day exhibition, which runs until 10th September, was inaugurated by Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, in the presence of Sheikh Majid bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs in Sharjah; Waleed Abdul Rahman Bukhatir, Second Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, SCCI; as well as other SCCI board members.
Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI; Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah; K. Candra Negara, Consul-General of Indonesia in Dubai; and Sultan Shattaf, Sales and Marketing Director, Expo Centre Sharjah; were also present, in addition to representatives of a number of diplomatic delegations from Belgium, Kenya, Bangladesh and Ethiopia.
Al Owais stressed that Al Asayl Exhibition has come to realise the wise directives of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, which seek to promote the sustainability of traditional sports, as they are seen to be an intrinsic part of the Arab, Emirati, and Gulf heritage.
He said that the show will be a high-caliber addition to the central region’s schedule of events and will certainly benefit the tourist movement while also helping achieve a number of social, cultural, and economic goals. It will also support the central region’s ongoing initiatives to promote tourism by implementing a number of innovative projects.
Al Midfa stated that Expo Al Dhaid has grown into a significant hub for hosting specialised exhibitions that would boost the local economy and satisfy the needs of locals and tourists, and that it will continue to make every effort to preserve the national culture, customs, and traditions, which is what the Al Asayl exhibition is all about.
The exhibition offers the most popular products for taking care of horses and camels, along with stable equipment, sports equipment, supplements, fodder, and animal transportation and relocation equipment at competitive prices.
From holding a series of activities and educational workshops to clarifying how to take care of horses, camels, and falcons, and discussing different diseases that affect them and the proper treatments, the event will highlight international best practices adopted in the breeding and care of purebred animals. Additionally, a session on artificial insemination and bettering animal breeding will be held by a group of veterinarians.
